Just as I said, there are rulers and kings which are sometimes known as principalities in the dark spiritual realm.

Here is to save the soul from perishing in this spiritual black hole. Death caused by this spiritual entanglement can be both spiritual and physical.

To help understand these spiritual matters, I will start with my own real-life short story:

When I was at kindergarten age my mom would always tell me that I should not sit for a meal and start eating without praying. As I grew up from kindergarten to primary school she continuously taught me to pray before sleeping.
When I then became a teenager she would make sure I go to church on every service day to worship God.

What surprised me later is that at the age of four I knew not even the meaning of praying and who God was. However, quite often then, mother would try to explain why we prayed. She would mention that we prayed to our father God, the provider and protector of our lives. Yet, being a kid at an early age like that, it was not clear who God was and in which way He could be my father. I knew only my biological father we stayed with.

However, now I am beginning to admit that my mother had some spiritual intelligence. She was teaching me about the most important side of life. She wanted me to know that life in the natural is not the end. Instead she wanted to teach me that there are powers, rulers and kings in the spiritual realm which we don’t see as a natural person. These spiritual powers, rulers, demons and kings want our worship and honour. God too wants our worship and honour.

Even though I now understand that my mother had some kind of spiritual intelligence, here is another side of her spirituality. Whilst both mother and father encouraged praying every time before sleeping or eating meals they believed in appeasing ancestral spirits; spiritual beings, rulers and kings. They believed that these spirits had power to protect and bless them.

As an African and wholly Zimbabwean who was born in the rural areas in the late sixties it was not uncommon for people to brew traditional beer at their homes both for selling or for ancestral ceremonies. This type of life was common at our home as it was in many other surrounding homes and villages too.

Of course my parents were Catholics and according to their beliefs there was nothing wrong with drinking beer and engaging in ancestral ceremonies. Because of this traditional belief, I witnessed ancestral spirits possessing people, and people starting to speak possessed by spirits during these traditional ceremonies. Sometimes the possessed would prophecy, advice or warn people. Sometimes they would give instructions for a certain task to be done in order for people to be blessed or forgiven.

I am giving this real account to help understand the theme of this writing. Here I am trying to prove beyond doubt the existence of beings, rulers and kings in the spiritual realm whose intention is to trap souls and destroy humanity through their subtle characteristics.
Now, I think from this short account most of us can agree that quite many people believe strongly in spiritual gods such as ancestors, astrology, witch craft and other powers like occultism.

I have already said it that humans are a special vessel created by its Owner for a great purpose. But when I just take the place of an independent observer at people and their lives, the conclusion will be that many people appear not to know their Master and their purpose for being here in creation. This very reason has made most people fail to understand God’s love and purpose for them. The happen to think that God is not worrying or caring about them. They then do whatever they do on their own and independent of the author of life and power in them, God.

Here is the complex issue that I believe is the main contributor to this ignorance and confusion. Naturality and spirituality. These two cannot mix well. Being born natural just like in my previous assertion where I wouldn’t understand easily that there was God or another Father besides my biological father. Being a kid, it would not make sense because that God could not be seen, and thus making it difficult to understand or know Him at that age.

I am talking about this thing as if it were a simple matter, yet of all matters of existential concerns, this matter must take precedence. The issue is about seeking, understanding and abiding by true existential laws and commandments that sustain life. This is because without seeking this truth and reality of life and existence, many will fall by the wayside and perish in the spiritual black holes of confusion, lies and fakery.

You have heard me talking about spiritual beings, ancestors, demons, rulers and kings previously. These are spiritualities in spiritual realm which have powers to lure and draw the souls of humanity and trap them to their godship and worship.

The Creator of the universe and all these things including me and you, is very much aware of all His creation and everything concerning it.

Now, because God the Creator is Spiritual as well, these fake spirits pretend to be the real God and pretend to answer to human concerns. Undoubtedly billions of people have failed to ascertain the fakery of these black hole spirits and have listened and followed them.

Now, this is a clear sign that there are rulers and kings in the spiritual realm and this clearly needs understand in terms of the purpose, truth and originality of these fake spiritual gods. There is going to be a time that all these spirits and their subtle weaponry are going to be brought bare and for the ruling of truth and reality. That will be the day of judgement. For sure life and existence cannot be completed without judgement to prove personalities.

Even if you were the creator of all these things I think you can agree with me that the chaos and all types of behaviours good or bad would need some judgement at some point in time. This would symbolize purposeful creation.

Now when this comes to mind my heart beats faster. Not because I fear for my standing and proving my person on the great day. No, my concern is on those that perish because of lack of knowledge. Hosea 4 V 6. This Bible verse says it all. All the reasons why people perish are summarized in this verse. For example, people perish because they rejected knowledge. Knowledge is life, so when people reject the truth it means they have chosen lies, fakery and ultimate destruction. This is because these people will have chosen their own fake ways of living not in line with the ways of the Creator. They can do all sorts of evil through the powers of their gods which are also destined for judgement and perishing on the great day.

Therefore, the ancestral spirits, the demons, occultic spirit, rulers and kings in the spiritual realm are fake gods. The only true- and real-life giving spirit is the Spirit of God called the Holy Spirit.

Now it is clear that there are two sides of the spiritual realm. The one belonging to the Holy Spirit and the other one belonging to the fake spiritual gods we talked about.

The way of God for the wise

Now here is the thing. Here is the wisdom and knowledge that will save those who are wise.

I talked about the complexity of life due to the nature that we find ourselves in as humans. Naturality versus spirituality. And because of this it is very difficult to know or understand the things of the spirit. Yet our Creator and Father is Spiritual too. Surely it is well hard to know His laws, understand His purpose in us or know His ways if we do not know Him

Therefore the issue is that we must be spiritual too for us to know and understand Him better. But is this possible? Yes, it is very possible. Here is a practical example to help us understand.

Previously I said years back when I was young my parents many times engaged in spiritual ceremonies where some people during the ceremony would become possessed by ancestral spirits. During that time people would stop singing and dancing and start listening and clapping hands calling the name of the spirit in the name of the dead person. People would be given instructions by the voice of the spirit in the way they should conduct their lives. They would be assured of life free from calamities if they kept the commandments of the spirit. So, they would have to abide by the laws for the rest of their life.

Now the challenge

These spirits are not the real God. God who created life and everything is one. But these are different gods for each clan or tribe and sometimes these gods clash badly for dominance in a particular family. We are also not forgetting that these now ancestral spiritual gods claiming to be forefathers or foremothers were even sinful. Some practiced witchcraft, some were killers and practiced immorality. And for just these reasons and many more they cannot proclaim to know God or to intercede for sins between people and God the Creator. These also need own judgement, if not that they were rejected by God for doing evil while on earth.

Following these gods is therefore following lies and fake reality and to that end people perish for lack of knowledge. Yet the real and true God is actually there and patiently waiting for His special creation, humanity, to come to Him. These spirits want to prevent people from knowing and experiencing the goodness of their only Father. They rebelled against God and were cast away by Him, so they are jealous for any person to become a child of God. They therefore do whatever is within their power to prevent people from knowing God and following God.
The souls of humans are therefore trapped in some spiritual black hole where they will languish in the hunger and thirst for the love of their real Father. Now is the time to be wise therefore.

Salvation; The way of God

Let us see if God has a particular preference about who should be followed as a true savior or God. Yes, He said it. John 3 V 16. It says God loved the world so much that He sacrificed His only son at His heart by giving Him to the world as ransom. So, everyone who ever believes in this son sent to the world should not perish but live forever as a child of God.

Now we see that God has His way of understanding and knowing Him. That way is through Jesus Christ. A question should ask why Jesus and who is He, how did he come about? Jesus came from heaven as a spirit directly into Joseph’s wife Marry’s womb where He was conceived into a natural baby and was born after nine months.

In other words, Jesus did not have an earthly father. God Himself send the Holy spirit into the virgin Marry’s womb so that He is born, bred and live like any other human being on earth. And God had a purpose a s follows:

He wanted someone who was pure and blameless to show the world God’s character. John 14 V 8-11

Save the world though Him by making people His sons and daughters. This was going to be possible through Jesus’s death on the cross. Those who believe in Him were/are going to inherit the Holy Spirit by confessing with their own mouth as follows: Romans 10 V 9-11 (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed)

One critical thing to understand about the character of God is that He is pure, righteous and glorious. So, any being that is not clean, pure, righteous would not be able to stand face to face with Him to intercede for others or reason with Him. Remember that sin started in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve ran away from Him because of sin. That very sin is by nature in every one of us descendants of Adam. Our nature is sinful. Romans 3 V 23

Therefore, if wanted to save us and needing us to inherit a holiness character then He was supposed to do something.

Surely, being an all-knowing God He did something miraculous to get us close to and make us His children. Sending the person Jesus to live like an ordinary person but with a purpose to save humanity the shedding of His blood so that when He dies and rises again His Spirit is Holy. This means whoever beliefs Jesus will be filled by the holy Spirit.

Remember in the previous sections I talked of people believing in their ancestral spirits or which craft in which case the are filled by such spirit. These people have strong belief in those spirits so that they do whatever they are asked to do such as putting on certain types of clothing and colours. Such spirits therefore freely find place in them because they wholly believe in them.

When we believe in Jesus and the works that He completed here on earth the Holy Spirit freely fills in us because we accept His character. Now because the Holy Spirit is the real Spirit of God that comes down from heaven, when it fills us we automatically become newly born children of God and for your information this is one of the greatest purposes of the Bible. A purpose of our great Father, God. This is known as being born again spiritually in Jesus Christ.

To this end we have the church and the word of God. As a matter of fact, whilst still here on earth in the natural knowledge, any one wise should be able to choose Jesus Christ. Why choose the spirit of man and not the Spirit God? Be wise and do not be lured into choosing to believing and following spirits of the dead or any other spirit of any name except the spirit of Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit. Those spirits of the dead are also awaiting the return of Jesus Christ for judgement on the great day. They will also tremble at the sight of Jesus Christ as God on the judgement day. Meanwhile these spirits are causing confusion in people in the world under the authority of Satan who first rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven.

Stand up! Proclaim your real identity and your destiny now. Your identity is son or daughter of God. Your destiny is life in abundance. Yet though we were sinners and not worth of this great reality, all this was made possible through the obedience of the only Holy one of God, Jesus Christ who, being without sin or blemish shed His blood to save you and me from being cast away because of our sins by God.

If you do not know or believe in Him, you cannot be saved by His mercies, for who can be saved by someone they do not know or believe. Can that not be surprise.

So, shake off the dust of ancient traditional beliefs that are just a game of the spiritual black hole around you and decide to follow Jesus Christ now.

The truth is therefore that whether one chooses or does not choose to follow or believe in Jesus Christ the end and judgement will surely come. On a certain day and whether one will be dead or alive, everyone will be quickened up to witness the great day of judgement.

On this issue Jesus Himself says on that day there will be trembling and gnashing of teeth.
