Wellness and Mindfulness

Real wellness is about a healthy body and mind. It is easy to treat the body for physical wellness but it is never easy to treat the mind for wellness. Many times, counselling and life coaching programs are designed to help clients restore mental wellness. On the extreme clinical treatment is usually done when the mind has stretched too far from the norm. The mind needs to be kept well protected before it slips too far to what it supposes to be greener pastures. There are principles to protect the mind and maintain a healthy mindset that keeps the owner joyful, happy and self-satisfied.

How does your mind feed?

The mind is supposed to be spiritually feeding on good feed all the time. When we are thinking, we are feeding the spiritual person in us. Toxic thinking endangers the spiritual person in the long term. Examples of conditions of endangered souls include indulging in drug abuse, aggressiveness, unforgiveness, hatred and self-pity. These are just a few of the many conditions caused by spiritual starvation. The food can be good food, poor food or dangerous food. Good food results in a refreshing and energized spirit leading to a singing heart and satisfaction in the self. Poor food results in sorrow of the heart leading to a lacking self. Dangerous food comes from haunting thoughts that sometimes trap the mind causing emotional flight.

A person is who she is or who he is depending on how that person has awareness for the type of thoughts that he or she frequently allows his or her mind to feed or dwell on at any one moment in time.

Consider this hypothesis: On a single day of 24 hrs as an example

1. If on average Anna spends twelve hours dwelling her mind on love, sweet news and sweet memories it means for half of the day Anna has been experiencing joy and satisfaction and subsequent spiritual energy renewal and refreshment in the self.

2. If Anna spends 8 hours dwelling her mind on her life challenges, such as lack of financial support, death of a loved one, it means for eight hours her mind failed to have good and rejuvenating food for spiritual energy and life.

3.Lastly if Anna spends six hours deeply dwelling her mind on her husband who moved out on her the previous night it means her mind had been imprisoned for six hours and could not produce energy food for the self or inner person.

When the spirit person or soul is starved of energy food for life by the mind and body it will start losing spiritual life strength and can yield to death prompts by allowing defencelessly the killing habits like living in complete negativity such as continual drug abuse, self-condemnation, aggression, hatred, unforgiveness, suicide and more.

There is time that the minds feel trapped in a hazy situation and yet the reality is that during that moment the mind will be doomed and probably not free and directionless. During such moment it takes someone’s strong awareness to help shake out or pull-out the mind from the killing emotional thoughts.

Here are LESSONS IN SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE to help provide the required soft skills to model an all year-round positive mindset. And such a mindset is good for everyone’s happiness, satisfaction and fullness of life

The following are good ingredients for a healthy spirit

1.Mindful Awareness- Take control over what you entertain in your mind and what you shut out.

2. Love yourself and your neighbours- There is great value in you and in your neighbours- Everyone is unique and has a purpose for living.

3.Forgive freely those who wrong you. Don’t keep grudges against people. Learn to forget and start on a new page.

4. Love God. This creation which include me and you was made by someone who knows you, loves and cares for you and that is why the sun always shines and rain falls so that you and me live- Its good to love Him too.

5. The word of God. The word of God helps you to understand more the love of God and how we can please Him

6. Believing, trusting and following Jesus Christ- In His workings and caring plans God sent Jesus to earth so that humanity might understand who God is and His love and power. There is healing when you believe and follow Jesus Christ.

There is never any living thing that does not want to live well. Humanity, of all creation has a philosophical conception of life and because of such philosophy they know how to create ways of increasing their joy and happiness. For example, creating and visiting social gatherings, gaming, playing and watching soccer and many more activities aimed at helping humanity to be happy and well.

All this is a way of trying to removing boredom and emotional stress and loneliness. For the majority of people, this appears to be a cure for their wellness and mental health.

Yet still to a larger majority this has failed to give them wellness and fulness of life.

Many people are not well today because they allowed their minds to stretch into the extreme negative end of imaginations. They think for themselves and no one else and as such they lost self-awareness and others awareness. It is now hard for them to come out of the mess and as such some even think of killing themselves. They no longer see anything good about life. They are no longer finding any purpose of life.

Some of these people continue to have their minds wandering because of some horrible life experiences. To some it is simply because of a natural hardness, aggressiveness and hatred in their hearts. They have walked miles and miles, many years of their entire life but still they do not understand not seem to feel any fullness of life, happiness and purpose of life.

Some of them are heavily loaded with thoughts of emptiness and guilt but do not know where and how to load it all off.
